This ‘Sounds and Clouds’ project, with the subtitle „a musical gardening”, is based on nature and space, where both the long tradition of nature as an inspiration in European and Asian music history and the movement „urban gardening” (which became a worldwide phenomenon in the last few years) is incorporated.
Sounds & Clouds transforms the concert hall into a garden, whereby the audience is a part of the physical and musical landscape. In this landscape, with help of natural elements, the daily cycle of light and dark is simulated in only 70 minutes. Our daily routine in fast motion.
Musically, the starting point of this production is „Singing Garden in Venice” by Toshio Hosakawa, alternated with Vivaldi’s flute concerts, adapted by Jeremias Schwarzer.
Line-up: 13 musicians of Holland Baroque Society and Jeremias Schwarzer (traverse flute and artistic direction)
Concept and design: Folkert Uhde, Radialsystem
Video and electronics: Letizia Fenzini
Credits: Kulturstiftung des Bundes
